Guidelines

Purpose

To create a fun environment where those who don’t know Jesus can be introduced to him, and where those who already have a relationship with him can develop it further. To create an environment that teens will want to be a part of.

To Parents:  If you want to “check in” to see what is happening in the youth group, just let the youth pastor know at least a week ahead of time that you want to sit in on a youth meeting and unless there is something special happening, we will welcome you coming.

Age

You must have graduated 6th or be age equivalent.  Unless you are a parent or a designated ministry assistant or youth leader, there will be no one that has graduated from High School or over 18 years or age that will be allowed to attend youth services or special youth only events.

NO Drugs, Alcohol, Tobacco and Weapons

No form of drugs, alcohol, tobacco or any type of weapon is permitted on the church grounds and/or youth off-site events.  Consequences of this guideline may include suspension from youth and all actives.  (Please let the youth pastor know if there are any prescription medications you need to take).

No pornography, swearing, or fighting at any youth event

Release Forms

A medical release form and permission slip signed by a parent and/or legal guardian must be on file to be able to participate in any overnight or off-site event.

Parking Lot

Youth should not be in any vehicle until leaving for the day/evening. Anyone who violates this guideline will be addressed individually.

No public displays of affection.

Stay with the group

Whether at the church or on an outing, we will stay together.  At church, this means not leaving the event to go hang out in the parking lot.  At offsite events, this means not wandering off on your own.

No personal electronics during youth events.  Turn cell phones off during youth meetings.

Who Drives?

For insurance purposes, only youth leaders 21 years of age and older will be designated to drive church arranged transportation to and from events.
